Lyo-San specializes in the freeze-drying (lyophilization) of various nutritional products, especially dairy cultures (lactic ferments) and probiotics. Our dairy cultures are primarily designed for making home-made yogurt, kéfir, soft cheeses and sour cream. We also produce acidophilus and bifidus-type bacteria which are used to make dietary supplements and natural health products. Lyo-San also manufactures the famous Yogourmet Multi yogurt maker which produces perfect home-made yogurt every time. Lyo-San produces and markets freeze-dried meals for sports enthusiasts. These products were developed in consultation with Odile Dumais, a specialist in sport nutrition and outdoor recreational sports, and are marketed under the trade name Outdoor Gourmet Plein Air.
