Lyo-San Inc. is a family business, founded in 1983 and situated in Lachute, Quebec. Lyo-San specializes in the freeze-drying (lyophilization) of various nutritional products, especially dairy cultures (lactic ferments) and probiotics. Our dairy cultures are primarily designed for making home-made yogurt, kéfir, soft cheeses and sour cream. We also produce acidophilus and bifidus-type bacteria which are used to make dietary supplements and natural health products. Lyo-San also manufactures the famous Yogourmet Multi yogurt maker which produces perfect home-made yogurt every time.
Lyo-San produces and markets freeze-dried meals for sports enthusiasts. These products were developed in consultation with Odile Dumais, a specialist in sport nutrition and outdoor recreational sports, and are marketed under the trade name Outdoor Gourmet Plein Air.
Our Yogourmet products are distributed throughout North America. We are serving customers throughout the world and have years of experience in satisfying an international clientele.
